On the first day of Christmas my health guide shared with me, one skincare tip!
Let’s talk about sleep. There is no substitute for it and your skin isn’t the only thing that benefits from consistent, rejuvenating sleep. The goal is 7-9 hours of sleep each night (sounds refreshing, right?). This gives your body a chance to repair itself, along with a host of other benefits. Your skin produces collagen while you sleep which makes the skin plumper and less likely to wrinkle. There is increased blood flow to your skin during sleep which gives you a healthy “glow” when you wake up, as well as eliminates puffy swelling under the eyes. Your skin is able to absorb higher levels of nutrients while your body is asleep allowing your skin to benefit from the ingredients in your beauty products. (What is in your beauty products?) And while we are talking about sleep, please change your pillow case at least weekly! Dead cells, sweat, and oils build up on your pillow case and can contribute to break outs and clogged pores. Do your skin a favor and give it the rest it deserves!
